What We're...

📰 Reading: The Nigerian EDM & House Scene. "Since gaining notoriety in Chicago and the 70s Black American underground scene, EDM and its subgenres have proven to be a cultural movement. Nigerians are no stranger to dance and electronic music. It has in fact, been an explorative part of our soundscape, as several Nigerian artists have experimented and fused EDM and its other subsets like House, Trap, and Dubstep with our homegrown Afrobeats."

🎧 Listening to: CAN YOU IMAGINE by Tobe Nwigwe ft. Odumodublvck. "The song's message is beautifully complemented by a captivating music video that brings the imagination to life. Tobe Nwigwe's lyrics are characteristically introspective and personal while Odumodublvck brought an addition not expected by many, where he gave a calm flow to bring the track to life."

📺 Watching: “Oxlade From Africa” docu-series. In this series, he travels across the world to meet some of the most prominent African and Afro-descendant creatives. With this series and his album, Oxlade wants to contribute to this global influence. “I’m simply trying to show a positive side of Africa, and cure the world with music”, he says, before concluding: “This is my career plan."
